Other: This is my 16th year in public education in Texas. I taught 10 years in middle school science and now 6 years in high school science. I graduated from Southwest Texas State in San Marcos with a bachelors degree in Biology, a minor in geography, and 2 years in a teaching certification program. I teach the science classes for students who have been in the country for less than a year and are still learning English as well as the SSL IPC class for LEP students and regular IPC also. After school I cosponsor the Science National Honor Society and tutor seniors who are still struggling to pass the science TAKS test. When the day is done I go home to my husband, my 3 year old son, and 4 year old daughter.
