"Students don't care what you know until they know that you care!" This quote definitely sums up my teaching philosophy! I am entering my 4th year at Cypress Falls High School and my 12th year as an educator! Teaching is very challenging and very rewarding, but it's all worth it in the end when I see that I have made a difference in the lives of my students!
Learning new ideas, thinking outside of the box, tolerance and working effectively with others are all underlying concepts taught in my classes. In addition I hope to encourage real world discussions and foster real world connections about local and global environmental issues such as alternative energy, wildlife, land use, waste management, and human population. I look forward to an exciting 2010-2011 school year!
