I graduated from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio with a B.S. in Education.  I majored in German and also have a minor in Spanish.  I spent my junior year of college abroad at the University of Salzburg in Austria. I have been teaching for 23 years; two of those years were spent teaching at a high school in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. I have attended two AP Institutes for German at Rice University.  In April of 2009, I was the recipient of the Duden award.  This award is given to a teacher in the Houston area who has demonstrated excellence in the teaching of the German language.
