David Hughes was born in Chester, England and has lived in the United Kingdom, Curacao, N.A., Jamaica and Puerto Rico. He received his Bachelor of Education Degree from Chester College in England in 1978 and a Masters Degree in School Administration from Prairie View A&M University in 2003. Mr. Hughes has been in education in Texas for 28 years. He was a teacher and coach at Spring Woods High School in the Spring Branch Independent School District for two years before spending the past 26 years in the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District. Mr. Hughes was a teacher and coach at Langham Creek High School for eight years and served in the same capacity for eleven years at Cy-Falls High School. He was an assistant principal at Cy-Fair High School for  five years and is currently in his second year as associate principal at Cypress Ranch.
