I graduated from Northern Illinois Universit in May of 1997 with a degree in Health Education & Sports Medicine. I moved here to Houston, TX and started my education career as the Assistant Athletic Trainer & Health Teacher at Langham Creek HS. I was there in until the fall of 2002 when I left Langham to open Cypress Ridge High School. At Ridge I was the Head Athletic Trainer there until May 2009. I started the Health Science program here at Cypress Ranch High School during the 2009-2010 school year. Currently I teach Principles of Health Science, Health Science & Practicum of Health Science. These classes introduce the students to the healthcare world, provides them with hands on experience in a hospital setting, and has them working towards two different certifications.
