I am a native born Texan and grew up in Arlington, Texas. I attended Nolan Catholic High School and graduated from the University of Texas in Arlington with a BA in English. I received a Masters in Education from Trevecca Nazarene College in Nashville, Tn. My counseling certificate is from Prairie View A&M University. My husband and three children are all graduates of Texas A&M University. My three children were graduates of Cy Fair High School.
My first teaching job was with the Department of Defense teaching Math GED classes at Fort Hood, Texas. I then taught the same classes through Central Texas College until my husband was moved to The Netherlands where my twin daughters were born. After returning to the states, I taught Math at Nolan Catholic High School for three years and then we were transferred to Houston where I taught Math at St. Pius High School. We then moved to Chattanooga, Tn, I taught all the high school math in a K-12 school for 6 years until reurning to Houston and for the last 21 years have been in CFISD teaching Math, PALS, being a ROPES facilatator, coordinator of the Falcon Wings Program at JVHS, training Peer Mediators and for the last 14 years being a high school counselor.
My hobbies include, reading, quilting, traveling and being a grandmother to 7 wonderful grandchildren.
