Educator R. Scott Budge, a native of Boise, Idaho, attended Boise State University before moving to Texas in 1985.  He is a graduate of Sam Houston State University in Radio/TV/Film with a Spanish Minor. After graduation he produced music videos and feature films. In 2001, he was hired by Aldine Independent School District as a First Grade Teacher and thereafter became an official Teacher of Record through the alternative teacher program.  He taught Middle School at Charles R. Drew Academy in the Magnet School program where he taught 7th and 8th Grade Computer Keyboarding.  He served as a Technology Specialist at Carroll Academy for 3 years while teaching 3rd and 4th Grade computer classes focused on PLATO. 
 
In 2006 Mr. Budge took a 2 year hiatus to produce and serve as Chief Cinematographer for the Platinum REMI award winning feature docu-drama "House of Dreams: The Planet Funk Story."  Featured in the feature film was The Westfield High School Chamber Choir under the Direction of former professional Opera Singer, Ralph Sanders.  Planet Funk Dance Academy was invited to perform and open Convocation for the Spring I.S.D. along with the award winning chorale in 2006.
 
After Producing and serving as Director of Photography for Welling Film's feature docu-drama "The Messenger: 360 Days of Bolivar" Mr. Budge was hired by Barbara Weiman to serve as Life Skills Teacher for the the self-contained students at Cypress Springs High School were he currently teaches.  The feature film is currently headed to it's subsequest next 6 film festivals after winning the Gold REMI at WorldFest Houston International Film Festival and 1st Place at the Boomtown Music & Film Festival.  The film is a docu-drama about the lives of some of the saltiest characters you could ever find in Texas and how the ultimately survived Hurricane Ike while residing in Port Bolivar, Texas at "The End of The Road."
 
Scott has 6 children ranging from 21 years to 3 years old and is married to CFISD product Steffanie Smith Budge who was once taught by our beloved Mike Mize in the classroom.  She is a member of Partners for Policy Making and the Family to Family Network as Steffanie and her husband have an 8-year-old daughter Chloe who attends Life Skills classes in CFISD.  Mr. Budge has worked with "special needs children" throughout his life and is currently writing a screenplay based on a true story about some amazing kids and the challenges the face with their disabilities.
