I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Kent State University in May of 2005 with a BS in Education. To facilitate my academic career, I served two years in the AmeriCorps National Service Project TEAM AmeriCorps where I tutored area students for the OGT (Ohio Graduation Test.) 
 
I enjoyed working with this targeted group of students so much that I committed to teaching at a Title One High School in Youngstown, Ohio following graduation.  I taught one year at The Rayen School before my husband was hired by a Houston area company and as a result, the Beery Clan (Grandparents included!) moved to Cypress.
 
The 2010-2011 year is my fifth year teaching at Cy-Woods.  I have had the honor of teaching two years of Geometry at the Woods and two years of Algebra II.  This year I have the honor of leading the Algebra II team.
 
It has been very rewarding getting to know this years Wildcats!
