Born and raised in Vermont, I first arrived in Texas in 1988 to attend UT at Austin. Although I did not finish at UT, I began my studies of Theatre Arts there and finished my BA at Virginia Wesleyan College with a major in Theatre Arts and a minor in Journalism. Following my 3 years at VWC, I worked as the Production Stage Manager for the Virginia Symphony and freelanced at various Theatre companies in the Norfolk area. In 1998, I began my graduate work at Michigan State University where I received my MA in Theatre Arts with a focus on 20th Century Acting Theory. Upon graduation from MSU, I took a year off of my life and moved to New Orleans, LA. In between my time working as a bartender and being lazy, I began teaching Commercial Acting and Modeling. The desire to teach has not ended since. In 2001, I moved to Houston and began teaching Middle School Theatre Arts. The rest as they say is History.
